What happened to art?

Talent is not enough anymore and the artist must now become commercial as well, but strongly pointed out that you must not loose yourself in the business world. The art world today is only absorbed by a sliver of our culture; while music, literature, and drama stays ubiquitous. What happened to the art? Art is more important that society realizes, because it takes cultures to the next level and enhances awareness. Art is about perception, feeling, form, and content. These four elements are essential to an established society and even to individual human lives. Everyone in their life questions their purpose here on earth. Everyone is born with five senses and emotions that enable us to absorb and develop through experience. Art is an experience, which obtains a hidden magic that no one can describe. Some say concepts such as love and life can never be explained to what they are exactly, this is also the same of art. One is able to receive a profusion of sensations through art which is an experience that will always be remembered. People are looking for meaning in their life and art has the ability to give them that. Unfortunately, only a fraction of our world has found the secret of art, which is that it satisfies our human need for a conceptual life. There is a soul and spirit behind the artwork that has the power to affect anyone. I hope one day the world will see art in its truth. -Elysia
